The Phoenix, a 565,000-sf building listed on the local historic register in Center City, is a well-regarded, mixed use historic building approaching 100 years of age. The conversion to retail, office and residential occurred over 20 years ago.
Woodcock Design, Inc. was retained to look at the ground floor public spaces, the fourth floor gym and amenity spaces, residential lobbies on floors 5-20, and the roof. In most of the spaces the lighting was out of date and the furnishings and finishes were in need of attention.
We prepared conceptual designs and pricing for the building focusing on increasing the value of the residential units by improving the hospitality throughout the shares spaces.
