Van Potteiger Architects asked the Woodcock Design team to develop the Arlen Specter US Squash Center. The center occupies a former historic armory building located on Drexel University’s campus. The stakeholders in the project included Drexel University, US Squash, and several involved private donors.
The 77,000 sf facility includes sixteen singles courts, two doubles courts, two glass exhibition courts, offices and support facilities for Team USA, training and tournaments.
Throughout the project the client, designers, owners, engineers and contractors worked as one solid unit. The team formed strong working relationships based on mutual respect and a desire for success. The project includes multiple restroom facilities for players, staff and guests.
